an endeavour inspired by our fascination and love of the intuitive, ancient processes that come from cooking with fire, first lit at our eponymous Fortitude Valley restaurant; Agnes.
One of the concepts we have started to explore more is how the use of fire applies to working with ancient and sustainably grown grains, and how it can add to the complexity of flavours in sourdough and pastries, both sweet and savoury. On top of this, we wanted to provide people with the opportunity to enjoy some of the wares we serve at Agnes restaurant, within a casual setting. Coffee from a local roaster will be served, the forever friend to the mid-morning pastry.
Our bakery is nestled in a heritage listed cottage on the sunshine filled corner of James Street and Harcourt Street in New Farm. The stunning interiors are designed by local architects Richards and Spence.
We are open Monday to Friday from 7am until 2pm and Saturday-Sunday from 7am until 3pm. We look forward to seeing you there!
